Solaris Is Dead. Long Live Linux. Linux Magazine
This has been in effect for a while.. Unix admins are a rarity and growing scarcer day by day. Althought i dont think this is the last nail in the coffin for solaris, if oracle continues to follow the same methodology that IBM has with z/OS and AIX then they will roll out some massive main frame competition.
